The Rate

$140 / hr — That's It

Remos GX, wet rate. FES fuel included. No tiers, no packages, no hidden fees. Billed by Hobbs hour.

Fuel note: The wet rate covers fuel provided through FES's own fueling system only. Fuel purchased from any other source — including Glendale Airport fuel services — is not included and is reimbursed at $2.50/gal. Any cost beyond $2.50/gal is the pilot's responsibility.

Requirements

What You Need

Sport Pilot Certificate or higher
Current FAA medical (or valid driver's license for Sport Pilot privileges)
Current flight review (within 24 months)
Remos GX checkout to proficiency with an FES CFI — typically 1 to 2 flights

Scheduling

Reservations

Reservations are made through FlightCircle. Time-building slots must be booked no more than 24 hours in advance. This keeps the schedule open for our active training students first — time builders fill in available gaps as they appear. Last-minute openings are fair game.

Cross-Country Building

The Phoenix Valley is surrounded by great cross-country destinations — Sedona, Tucson, Flagstaff, Lake Havasu. Build real cross-country PIC time in some of the most scenic airspace in the Southwest.

Night Currency

Arizona's clear skies make for exceptional night flying. Log night hours to build and maintain currency — required for Private Pilot passenger privileges.

Add Dual Instruction

FES instructors are available for dual time within your rental hours — polish specific maneuvers, practice approaches, or prepare for an upcoming checkride alongside your solo building.

The Bridge to 1,500 Hours

The ATP certificate requires 1,500 total flight hours. Consistent solo rental at an honest rate is one of the most straightforward paths to closing that gap — no commitments, just flying.
